Privacy

CheaperDriver does not require an account. We set a single, random cookie (cr_device_id) to remember your most recent trip so you can leave a post-trip note. That identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any third-party profile.

What we collect

• Pickup and drop-off coordinates you enter, plus the textual labels Google returns.
• Trip distance and traffic-adjusted duration from Google Directions.
• Current precipitation at pickup from OpenWeatherMap, used as a surge signal.
• Which provider and tier you tapped, if any, so we can learn which estimates felt right.
• Optional post-trip cost reports you choose to submit.

Who we share it with

We share your pickup and drop-off coordinates with Google (to fetch directions and place suggestions) and OpenWeatherMap (to fetch weather at pickup). When you tap “Book” on a provider, we redirect you to that provider’s universal link with pickup and drop-off as URL parameters, exactly as we describe on the page.

Clear my data

Clear the cr_device_id cookie in your browser and all records tied to that identifier will be unreachable. A full deletion endpoint will ship before public launch.
